Yes, rachel, I got your present. Squee!
Shrinky dinks for the win, and the return of the thingaday! They work very well in my toaster oven. I am particularly pleased with face on the bacon with the eggs and toast, sadly too small for the camera to capture. Political Opus for my raucus caucus sweetie. Can you believe he never shrunky dunk?
Once upon a time there were two sisters, living states apart, trying to describe their craft projects to each other over the phone. We had this wonderful idea, “we’ll start a blog, we can post pictures of all the things we’re knitting!”
We were talking about our motivations for acquiring these skills, so anachronistic in a time of knitting machines and ready-to-wear clothing. A sentiment echoed by both of us: “you know, I really just learn to do all of these things so that in the event of the collapse of civilization, I will have skills that will help me survive.” And we knew we weren't the only ones.
With that, we present you with: Crafting for the Apocalypse.
So let’s get to work!
