An exercise in frustration
More self portraits today. This first was just an effort to capture general body position, and I feel okay about it, especially the knee in the foreground:
The second one was a genuine face drawing effort. Again, it kinda sucks:
However, I do feel like I did a better job on the nose. For comparison:
Once upon a time there were two sisters, living states apart, trying to describe their craft projects to each other over the phone. We had this wonderful idea, “we’ll start a blog, we can post pictures of all the things we’re knitting!”
We were talking about our motivations for acquiring these skills, so anachronistic in a time of knitting machines and ready-to-wear clothing. A sentiment echoed by both of us: “you know, I really just learn to do all of these things so that in the event of the collapse of civilization, I will have skills that will help me survive.” And we knew we weren't the only ones.
With that, we present you with: Crafting for the Apocalypse.
So let’s get to work!
