Cake, meet ice cream
I'm sure these two will be fast friends.....
also, I have been teaching myself crochet. My first finished crochet was a cat toy, filled with catnip, which my cats have been studiously avoiding since I gave it to them. I should stick with food.

oh I thought it was a cupcake at first...must be the angle of the photo. I just love these faced foods! Tey always bring a smile to my face, even if they aren't.
Once upon a time there were two sisters, living states apart, trying to describe their craft projects to each other over the phone. We had this wonderful idea, “we’ll start a blog, we can post pictures of all the things we’re knitting!”
We were talking about our motivations for acquiring these skills, so anachronistic in a time of knitting machines and ready-to-wear clothing. A sentiment echoed by both of us: “you know, I really just learn to do all of these things so that in the event of the collapse of civilization, I will have skills that will help me survive.” And we knew we weren't the only ones.
With that, we present you with: Crafting for the Apocalypse.
So let’s get to work!
